GVP – National Association of Recruitment Agencies – A strong community

Orizon GmbH is a member of the GVP, Germany’s largest employers’ association for the temporary work sector, which was formed in 2023 following the merger of the iGZ and the BAP. Its predecessor organisations had existed for over 25 years and represented thousands of temporary work agencies.

iGZ and BAP have merged to form the Gesamtverband der Personaldienstleister e.V. (GVP) in accordance with the German Transformation Act. All rights and obligations of both BAP and iGZ have been transferred to GVP as their universal successor. This also applies to the collective agreements concluded between iGZ and BAP, and between BAP and the DGB Temporary Work Collective Bargaining Association. Both sets of collective agreements will initially continue to apply unchanged under the umbrella of the GVP and will remain in force as independent collective agreements under their previous names. The aim is to establish a joint collective agreement between the GVP and the trade unions in the future. (Source

Given its history, Orizon sees itself as a service provider for German SMEs, the driving force behind the growth of German industry. Accordingly, most German workers are employed directly or indirectly by SMEs, thereby underpinning Germany’s economic prosperity. The GVP’s practical and confident approach helps to make temporary work attractive to both companies and workers. This helps to strengthen trust in the sector and tackle prejudices head-on.

This is ensured, among other things, by the Code of Ethics (Ethikkodex), to which all members commit and whose breach is sanctioned by expulsion from the association. The Contact and Arbitration Office for Temporary Work (www.kuss-zeitarbeit.de) acts as the point of contact for temporary workers.

Through our membership of the GVP, we offer our clients and employees the security of a collective agreement-based pay structure: “Good temporary work puts the needs of employees and clients at the centre. This leads to greater acceptance among the permanent workforce and maintains industrial peace,” according to the GVP. For our clients, this means good and motivated employees. For our employees, this means employment on attractive terms with interesting prospects. We outline what else we do for our employees in our Orizon Plus Points.
