Your prospective job:
For our customer Airbus Operations you are acting as Numerical Simulation Engineer (m/f/d) at the location Hamburg.
The job is mainly related to nonlinear Abaqus Finite Element (FE) Simulation for A350 Freighter Virtual Testing. Very detailed specialist knowledge is required, especially for big non-linear DFEM models.
The department uses different Abaqus and Nastran models for different purposes, loke global FEM for load distribution. For that it is nessecary to study the different requirements for the A350 Freighter and to generate a concept on how to re-use/combine models for different purposes.
In addition to the above mentioned topics the job also includes an assistance to the project leader of the XLR Assembly Digital Twin project. In this project model data of Manufacturing Process Simulations and Tolerancing are complemented by measurement data from the production.
Your responsibilities:
- Model build & integration
- Integration of test conditions
- Running simulations and post-processing of the FE results
- Creation of tool specifications for the missing bricks in the automated FE process/tool chain to enable tool developers to develop the tools
Your profile:
- University degree in aircraft construction, engineering or comparable
- Several years or professional experience in calculation of statics and aircraft construction, as well as in research and development, project management and stress engineering
- Good knowledge in change management and project management
- Basic knowledge in automation of pre- and post-processing of finite element models
- Knowledge in Hyperworks for Pre- and Post-Processing of FE Models
- Good knowledge in dealing with Unix, Windows, Python, Nastran and Google Workspace
- Fluent German and English skill, both spoken and written, French knowledge would be a plus
