Your prospective job:

You work as a Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d) at the location Weßling for our renowned customers from the aerospace industry.

Your responsibilities:

  • End to end responsible to deliver the engine system on time, cost, quality and performance
  • Design the engine system in concert with other engineering groups and departments, with attention towards high volume production
  • Assist in the development of manufacturing, integration, and test processes and procedures
  • Support the system development from concept to production, resolving any design, manufacturing and assembly issues along the way
  • Define and manage requirements
  • Create certification related documentation
  • Provide guidance in certification related matters
  • Support with the planning of the tasks of the team responsible for the engine system
  • Check and approval of technical 2D drawings for manufacturing release
  • Mentor colleagues to aerospace best practices and methods
  • Constantly learn new things – and share them with your team members
  • Work on any ad hoc related projects or tasks

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical/Vehicle Engineering, Mechatronics or comparable
  • Professional experience in the aerospace industry is required
  • Experience in development of propulsion systems is required
  • Good knowledge of a CAD system is required (Siemens NX is preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of ISO GPS (alternatively ASME GD&T) and overall good drafting skills are beneficial
  • Basic knowledge with PDM/PLM systems (Teamcenter or equivalent) is beneficial
  • Strong analytical skills are required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to integrate state-of-the-art design and manufacturing methods into product concepts and designs is required
  • Experience developing and working to system requirements is required
  • Experience with working with various suppliers and managing deliverables is required
  • Excellent understanding of general design principles and technical correlations is required
  • Proven professional knowledge of type certification methods is required
  • Proven experience with rotating machines is essential
  • Proven experience with the certification of electric machines & electronics (hardware/software) is beneficial
  • Experience with planning and coordinating the tasks of a small team is required
  • Strong motivation to help build structures and processes is required
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, both spoken and written
  • Fluent German or any other language is beneficial
