Your prospective job:
For our customer Airbus Defence and Space you are acting as Human System Integration - Task Analysis (m/f/d) at the location Bremen.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide human factors engineering expertise and support to the design and development of Starlab human system interfaces in an integrated and collaborative fashion,supporting design, development, and preparation of deliverables
- Contribute to Starlab Mission ConOps and OpsCon definition and refinement
- Analyze, assess, and make recommendations regarding Starlab human system design and development, in the following fields:
- Habitability functions (sleep, hygiene, stowage/trash management, etc.)
- Inner architecture (habitable/work volume, configuration, translation path, hatches and doorways, restraints and mobility aids, windows, lighting, etc.)
- Crew interfaces (display and controls) Natural and induced environments (atmosphere, acoustics, radiation,vibration, etc.)
- Anthropometry, strength and endurance
- including requirements analysis, task design/redesign, use case development, functional flow, and workload modeling
- Close collaboration with other Starlab teams: Crew Health and Medical System (H&MS),S&MA, SE&I, Robotics, Flight Crew, Ground Support, and Mission Operations teams
- Perform tailoring and tracking of Human Systems Integration Requirement
- Support definition and development of low-, medium-, and high-fidelity mock-ups concepts and requirements
- Support Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) test activities
- Support and participate in the HSI Working Group
- Provide Human Systems Integration (HSI) support to other organisations, e.g. NASA
- Contribute to associated RFIs/RFPs
- Participate in program reviews
- Perform other duties as agreed and required
Your profile:
- Completed studies in aerospace, electrical/mechanical engineering, computer science or comparable
- work experience in the field of spacecraft operations / engineering, preferably with a focus on human spaceflight, Human Systems Integration, or Human Factors Engineering
- Experience with Human-in-the-Loop testing
- Experience with Systems Engineering processes, techniques, e.g. with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools (e.g. CAMEO), Requirements Engineering and tools (DOORS, JAMA)
- Effective at working in a multi-disciplinary and transnational team
- Ability to learn fast, able to work pro-actively and comfortable working in full autonomy, attention to details
- Ability to support integration and test activities on hardware and software
- Ability to define and support programmatic aspects like engineering schedule and risks
- Ability to generate and review technical documentation, e.g. SPECs, IRD/ICD
- Knowledge of spacecraft systems and subsystems architectures and mission support concepts
- Basic knowledge of computer-aided design
- Fluent German and English skills spoken and written
