Your prospective job:
For our prestigious client in the aerospace industry in Hamburg you will be working as a Embedded Software Engineer.
Your responsibilities:
- Developing software for C and C++ applications of Linux-based In-Flight Entertainment and Cabin Management Systems (IFE/CMS).
- Maintaining and improving Linux kernel, drivers and components.
- Reviewing layouts and schematics of new aircraft products.
- Preparing and testing technical specifications for software and system architectures.
- Performing product engineering tasks in line with EASA 21G operations.
- Communication with internal or external software suppliers.
- Pushing development issues and software configurations.
- Helping in design procedures and processes in your area of responsibility and monitoring compliance with such procedures and processes.
- Analysing industry trends and collaborating on product planning.
Your profile:
- University degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, informatics, mechatronics or similar qualification
- First work experience as a Embedded Software Engineer is advantageous
- Good programming skills in embedded C and C++
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and Linux Shell scripts is mandatory
- Knowledge in handling Linux kernel drivers and components would be a plus
- Knowledge of the aviation industry and aviation standards and practices desirable (DO-178C, ARINC, APEX)
- Knowledge of Yocto, Bitbake or Wayland, Gstreamer or Docker, containerd
- Development and implementation of module tests.
- Very good command of English language
