This role is more than simple recruiting, you will have an opportunity to effectively communicate with candidates and articulate career opportunities that will engage the best Early in Career talent around.
We are looking for early in career talent acquisition specialists to deliver a world class hiring experience for our candidates. This role focuses on reviewing candidate applications, selecting shortlists and conducting first round virtual interviews. Throughout these initial stages of the assessment journey, your focus will be to ensure an amazing candidate experience aligned to our recruiter metrics.

Your responsibilities:

  • Talent needs – partner with your recruitment peers to understand the roles we are hiring into, and the skill sets required for these roles.
  • Candidate engagement – apply these role & skills set insights when reviewing candidate applications and selecting the top profiles to move forward with to first round interviews.
  • Be an ambassador for Microsoft, articulate and embody our company culture. You may be required to attend campus events to support your recruiter peers’ pipelining strategy , during peak event times.
  • Candidate assessment – conduct first round virtual interviews with your shortlisted candidates. Make recommendations for your recruitment peers on which candidates to invite to final round assessment events.
  • Track candidate progress in our ATS, from interview scheduling to entering interview feedback and outcomes of first round interview.
  • Be a trusted advisor for your recruiting peers, by building knowledge on local market conditions and competing organisations through your candidate conversations. Use data generated during the first-round interviews to identify market trends and share with your peers to influence their pipelining and talent attraction strategies.
  • You will be expected to meet standard measurements of success for recruiting, such as attainment against annual hiring plans, diversity goals, and candidate experience metrics.
  • Ensure we are growing diversity in our early in career hiring, through diverse talent pipelines.
  • Understand local legal situation about contracts, visa/work permits, discrimination laws, etc.
  • Contribute as a positive member of the Recruiting team, supporting your team members and assisting others in their success. Taking on additional tasks as required.

Your profile:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in both languages German and English
  • Problem solving, cross-group collaboration and good oral/written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand, articulate, and sell Microsoft culture and business initiatives.
  • Ability to deliver results with little supervision in an often-ambiguous environment with capacity to effectively manage multiple projects and candidates simultaneously.
  • Some experience sourcing, screening, interviewing and placing candidates ideal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and experience using ATS tools.
