Your prospective job:
For our international client in the aviation and space programs industry, we are looking for you as an Antenna-Engineer (m/f/d)
in Bremen for permanent employment. You will be supporting the Telecom datellite Payloads department.
Your responsibilities:
- Realization of propposal, implementation and operational phase
- Provide technical support in the preparation of quotations within the telecom department
- Performing link budget analyses (using OHB's own tools) to determine system capacity, i.e. total aggregated data rates
- Elaboration and development of own payload approaches for a telecom mission
- Calculation and design of antenna patterns in the proposal phase using standardised analysis software (e.g. Grasp, SatSoft)
- Technical advice and negotiations with antenna suppliers
- Development of own ideas in the field of intelligent antennas (multibeam missions)
- Design of analogue and digital antennas for telecom payloads based on customer specifications
- Perform and support all telecom payload antenna reviews
- Support of all subsystems related to the electrical and mechanical antenna interface on board a satellite
- Preparation of all documentation in the course of a satellite project of phase 0, A, B, C/D and phase E
- Planning and execution of payload IOT (In Orbit Test) RF tests with antenna pattern measurements
- Point of contact for payload antennas during the lifetime of the satellite
Your profile:
- Master’s degree in RF or communication engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Good understanding of all high-frequency technology and its components such as amplifiers, LNA, waveguides, converters
- First experience in measuring antennas in a CATR (antenna compact range) would be an advantage
- Knowledge of antenna simulation tools (Grasp, FeKo and Sat-Soft)
- Fluent in English
- German language skills would be a plus
